About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified counsellor and have been working with adults for several years, including at The Naz Project and Hillingdon Hart.  I currently work at Camden, City, Islington & Westminster Bereavement Service  (CCI&WBS) where I  worked on a 1:1 basis  and  co-facilitating group sessions.  I also work in a private practice.

My approach and practice are integrative which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic thinking and application that is tailored to your specific needs. It means that I draw primarily from psychodynamic and person centred traditions within counselling.  I also work on a holistic level that places crises, illness and difficulty in a larger context of growth. Each individual is unique and my approach is very much led by you and what you need to enable your growth and self development.

My style is compassionate and respectful and we work collaboratively to decide on a pace that is comfortable with you.   I work with adults and offer counselling in a confidential and supportive setting and work in North London.

In addition to my counselling training,  I have had extensive life experience and that informs me to be respectful, non judgemental and accepting of my clients regardless of their background.  I am also the mother of three adult children.

I am a qualified MBACP counsellor, I also have a M.Sc. In Health Psychology, B.Sc. (Hons) in Psychology and in my former career I worked in Human Resources.  I am a member of  The British Psychological Society, The Black and Asian Therapy network and a registered member of the The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and abide by their code of ethics.
